Strategic (Long Term) Planning Of Medium Voltage Networks
Any improvement on the medium voltage network needs huge financial resources that can amount to several million Euros. That is why it is very important to prepare network development decisions thoroughly, not to make “ad hoc” decisions. The development decisions must be made along a well-thought-out development strategy that can of course change slightly as the life changes but always keeping the optimal network structure.

Using our standardized planning method we give a tool into the hands of the decision makers that aggregates the important parameters of the networks with high difficulty and having large number of elements to ease the overview the effects of their decisions. This is achieved partly by the coloration of the network maps according to different parameters and partly with using differently detailed network maps. This also makes possible that a person not knowing the network in detail can easily realize the structure and the problems of the network and the operating personnel can also get enough information helping his work.
